The very first European LEADER Congress was held on 18 and 19 December. The event was organised in Brussels by ELARD under the French Presidency 2023-2024. Around 800 people attended from various European countries. A total of 36 nationalities were represented.
During the Congress, various discussions took place on LEADER topics and the place of LEADER in Europe. The first day took place at the European Parliament, where major round tables were held, as well as the election of the European LEADER awards. On the second day, various workshops were held simultaneously at the Committee of the Regions and the Economic and Social Committee.
