From 2023 to 2024, Leader France has assured the presidency of ELARD (European LEADER Association for Rural Development), the European LEADER network.

ELARD is a European association that brings together the national LEADER networks. It represents around 2,800 Local Action Groups (LAGs) from 29 countries, including bordering countries of the European union that have adopted and are implementing the LEADER methodology of Community-Led Local Development (CLLD).
ELARD works actively to raise awareness of the LEADER approach among European policymakers in order to secure its funding within the European rural development policy. It advocates for the Community-Led Local Development approach (CLLD) (through networking of private and public stakeholders, dissemination of good practices, support for innovative actions, European cooperation, etc.) and represents the interests of LEADER Local Action Groups to the European institutions.
